About the Organization
To The Moon And Back, Inc is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting children born substance exposed and their caregivers through support, education, and advocacy.
To the Moon and Back (TTMAB) provides bi-monthly support groups for caregivers (foster and adoptive parents, relative and non-relative caregivers) of children born with substance exposure. The group provides a place for caregivers to connect with their peers. We regularly host speakers with experience working with children with substance exposure so caregivers can remain in the know about the latest in research and best practices for this population.
The organization provides training within the community about Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and substance exposure to increase awareness around the ongoing needs of these children.
We provide advocacy and recommendations to our local and state leaders around the unmet needs of the population and gaps in services for children born with exposure and their caregivers. Legislation is being worked on by our group to ensure that children born substance exposed have all the tools needed to thrive beyond Early Intervention.
Proceeds raised by our organization will be used to support research looking at the long term effects of neonatal abstinence syndrome on children as they age. Funds will also be used to educate the community around Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, best practices in care, and about the ongoing needs of the population. TTMAB is also focused on the establishment of multidisciplinary clinics to provide care in NAS and substance exposure.
